Interaction Audit: WRA/ENG395 Online

I chose a number of technologies that would facilitate interactions in the classroom as follows:

One to many: Presentation

imeet was chosen because it allows video conferencing from anywhere to everywhere. As the instructor, I will use this technology to conduct presentations or offer class lectures to all students no matter where they are. This facilitates one to many interactions in the classroom. Email is another tool that will be used for one to many interactions as well.

Many to many

The class blog has been created to allow interactions between classmates – ( these discussions *will be extended to outside world to allow online interactions and build online communities. Again, imeet video conferencing feature allows synchronous- many to many- interactions between participants.

Studio – few to few

Students will be collaborating on some project through google.docs. This technology will be used to facilitate research interactions between small groups. The instructor will be invited to the documents in one of the course projects to provide feedback as well as formative evaluations on going projects. ELI will be used to allow students give feedback to their peers in some of the class projects.

One to one consultations

Students will consult with the instructor one on one through email, twitter or through video conferencing in imeet.

One to global

Students will share some of their projects not only with peers but also with global community. This will done through class blog/website or when students publish their video projects through You-tube .

Below is a flow chart illustration of an example of how I envision such interactions taking place in one of the course project.
